After shopping, watching a nice game or attending classes suddenly you realize that you do not remember where you parked your car. The answer is iFind My Car app from Mobility.

After parking, just tap the Pin Car button to record your car location in the parking lot. As soon as you are done and want to find your car tap the button Find My Car and voilà! You will be directed to your car. The phone will vibrate and alert you when your car is in sight. The app is designed for open parking lots, not indoor garages.

After pinning your car you can adjust its location by touching and dragging the red beetle. You might use this resource if the accuracy indicator is yellow and there is a visible difference between the blue pin current location indicator and your car real position as seen on the screen. On your way back to the car the accuracy should improve along the way. So you can start walking to your car even if the accuracy indicator is yellow. Enjoy.

Pros and cons of iFind My Car app for iPhone and iPad

iFind My Car app good for

Very accurate for those who say its not you need to make sure it got your gps postion wait for the top button to turn from red to yellow . I have tried several blocks away
OK...I spent a hour looking for my car at a airport...this App should solve that problem...
This is my second review of this app. In the first one I gave it 4 stars, now it has clearly earned the 5th one. Not only for its updates to iOS4, but an important fact thats not usually considered when reviewing apps. How well the authors stand behind them. I have written to them 4 times with concerns, and they have responded every time and delivered the correct updates to an already great application. I understand that not all developers have the time or staff to answer all emails, so when they can or do, it is greatly appreciated. Apps (thanks to Apple) has become a very big part of our lives. When you spend only 99 cents, but the company treats you as of you spent $99.00 with a great app and equal service, what more could you ask for. P.S. I have used jut about every car location app, this is the one that works just as described. Thank you Modility . . . . . .
Wish I had this at our away football game last Sat! Love the 2 simple choices: PIN CAR - WALK ME. I was surprised at the added house # when I walked in my neighborhood, & then the vibrating phone when my car was in sight. Good job.
Pinned my car at the airport and this app brought me back to it on arrival.
Used this at the airport today. It worked pretty well. Im sure my search for my car wouldve been much longer without this. I DLd it right before I left for the airport!

Some bad moments

I was hesitant in purchasing this app as there were no reviews on it yet, but I figured it sounded good and therefore decided to take to plunge. Perhaps 1 star is a little harsh, but simply put, the app did not work very well for me. It isnt clear however whether it was the software that created the issue(s), or if it was my 3G phone. I purchased the app just as I was sitting in a parking lot preparing to go grocery shopping. The cars location was marked and I was all set to test it once finished at the store. When the time came, it took my phone a fair bit of time to run the program and locate my position, but once it did, it pointed me to the car which was nice. I followed my phone up to the car watching as the distance between it and myself shrank. Upon reaching the car though and starting to load the groceries, I received a push notification indicating that my car was in sight.....well, no kidding, Im already loading it. The marker still said I was several meters away so it wasnt very accurate. Im not sure if its the app that doesnt work, or if it would be better on a 3Gs. But I do know that I regret purchasing it. Thankfully it was only $.99. Ah, maybe Ill give it 2 stars as it...kimda worked.
I used this a few more times and it never got me to my car. Once it sent me in the opposite direction.
I dont see how ANYONE could rate this app any higher than me. Its honestly the worst app Ive used so far! It doesnt even come close to being the slightest bit accurate! Youre so much better off just using Google Maps and taking some notes! Relying on this at all will end in you mindlessly searching the parking lot in the wring direction. I have a 3GS that has a very functional GPS, until I try and use the app and then everything goes nuts! Says Im 180 deg in the wrong direction and 82 ft away from my car when Im opening the cardoor! I bypassed all the other lower rated "find my car equivalents" because this had a whopping THREE stars! I now thats not great but better than the rest out there. Now I dont see how its completely nonfunctional! Constantly says to to do the figure 8 recalibration but it never excepts it. Theres nothing around my device to interfere with it either. Im utterly dissatisfied with this.
ok so let me tell you how unacurate this thing is. first i sat in my car and saved my car location, then i walked into my house. and turned on the walk me to my car option, so i then walked back out of my house and onto my front porch and pointed my phone cam at my car, and yet the car icon showed me that my car was parked across the road in my neighbors house. im sorry but if this thing isnt acurate enough to lead me to my car from my house to my driveway. then im not trusting it to lead me to my car in a parking lot filled with hundreds of cars. and yes i did everything the correct way and even tried it lots of times until i finally gave up. and the funny thing is, that each time i tested this it showed me that my car was in a different location each time. It never got it right ONCE
The app crashes often, and the "walk me" button doesnt work unless I exit the program. If it hasnt crashed by then, it merely draws a line between my car and my current location---it offers no street navigation directions. Maybe Im missing something but the support site has no information. In fact, it doesnt even load in Safari on my phone or on my iMac. I tried to use the app on two iPhones---my old 3G and my new 4. It worked on neither.
Crashes my iphone4 every time. Where are the developers? Lots of complaints. No fix.
